My name is Amy Dion and I started taking pictures when my mom and dad gave me a cabbage patch kids camera to keep me quiet. My dad is a photo buff and after a few years I guess it rubbed off on me. While I was in college I started getting serious about photography. After I graduated I spent a couple of years out west working as a graphic designer. But after having two little girls, I realized I finally had the captive audience I needed to start a career in photography!
About My Style
The way I prefer to work is really casual, especially with kids. I never force smiles or make them sit still and pose. I like to capture moments - the good, the bad, the ugly, the crazy. I prefer natural lighting because it makes for really beautiful photos, even cloudy days can give you vibrant colors and unique photos.
